Official Rules
Read Carefully Before Registering
1. General Rules+
- 3 shots at 300 yards
- All competitors use Fire Ammo-provided ammunition
- Weekly rotating specs (caliber, bullet weight, velocity, target)
- Shooters use their own rifles, optics, and rests
- All shots fired from the designated firing line
- On shooting bench
2. Calibers Used+
.223 Rem / 5.56 NATO
- Bullet weights vary weekly (Mondays we share what we're loading that week)
- Chronographed and logged
3. Scoring+
- 6" gong = 1 point
- 4" gong = 2 points
- 2" gong = 3 points
- Highest score wins
- Ties broken by Sudden Death Round: flip a coin, heads or tails, whoever hits the 2" gong first wins
4. Safety Rules+
- Follow range officer commands
- Eye/ear protection required
- Rifles unloaded until instructed
- Chamber flags required
- Unsafe behavior = disqualification
5. Equipment Rules+
- Any rifle chambered in the weekly caliber
- Any optic magnification
- Bipods, tripods, bags allowed
- No electronic recoil-reducing devices
- No spotter adjustments after "Shooter Ready"
6. Weekly Ammo Specs+
Fire Ammo publishes:
- Caliber
- Bullet weight
- Expected velocity
- SD / ES
- Barrel length
- Twist rate
7. Prizes+
- Weekly winner prize (T-Shirt and entered into Annual Championship)
- Leaderboard will be posted
- Annual championship (2026 will be a shorter competition year)
8. Registration+
- Online registration required for weekly draw
- Winner and social media posted weekly
- No minors or guests allowed
- All social media is property of Fire Ammo, LLC
